Fullerton Plays Host to 16-Team Volleyball Tournament

The Cal State Fullerton women’s volleyball team will play host to the Collegiate Premiere tournament starting today at 1 p.m. and continuing through Saturday.

The 16-team tournament will be played in four pools today, with the teams advancing to single elimination playoffs tomorrow afternoon.

Brigham Young, ranked No.10 by the American Volleyball Coaches Assn., is one of four ranked teams in the tournament: San Diego State is ranked No. 14, USC No. 16 and Arizona State No. 18.

Other competing schools: Cal, Fresno State, Eastern Illinois, Minnesota, Montana State, Ohio State, Southwest Texas, UC Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Utah and Washington State.

All matches will be at Titan gym. The championship game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
