Quartz Hill 17, South Bakersfield 0--Tailback David Nelson rushed for 90 yards in 22 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead the Rebels at Quartz Hill.

Quartz Hill linebacker Jimmy Weese recovered a fumble by quarterback Greg Ochoa at the South Bakersfield 33-yard line early in the second quarter, and Nelson scored on a nine-yard run two plays later.

Nelson scored scored again with 9:59 to play in the fourth quarter, one play after a pass-interference call put the ball at the South Bakersfield seven. Chad Waters kicked a 34-yard field goal with 21 seconds remaining to complete the scoring.

Quartz Hill forced four turnovers, including three fumbles.
