Royal 21, Corona Centennial 14--Royal wide receiver Jeff Creed caught scoring passes of 59 and 18 yards to lead the visiting Highlanders.
Centennial’s last drive was stopped with a minute remaining when defensive back Tim Ross intercepted a fourth-down pass in the end zone. It was Ross’ second interception of the game.
Quarterback Jon Banton completed nine of 14 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns for Royal (2-4). Tight end Chris Jordan caught three passes for 62 yards and Creed caught three passes for 76 yards.
Royal’s Rob Smith ran for 80 yards and a touchdown in 13 carries.
