Woodland Hills Team Beaten in U.S. Open

The Woodland Hills Astros surrendered two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning and fell to the Florida Braves, 3-2, Tuesday night in a National Division game of the U.S. Open Baseball tournament at Galvin Field in Ontario.
The Astros, 3-1 in the tournament, complete division play tonight against the Fairbanks (Alaska) Goldpanners (4-0).
First- and second-place finishers in the National and American divisions advance to another tournament.
Against the Braves, the Astros scored in the second inning on a single by Rio Mesa High senior-to-be Dmitri Young, then in the third on a two-out double by Billy Morris.
