Lion quarterback Rahim Muhammad completed 11 of 14 passes for 163 yards and rushed for 77 yards in 12 carries to lead Fairfax to a City nonconference home victory. Muhammad rushed for two 13-yard touchdowns and threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Eduardo Payan. Payan also scored when he returned an interception 55 yards. Fairfax is 2-0 and Narbonne 0-3.

Hollywood 28, Pater Noster 0--The Sheiks, off to their best start in years, improved to 3-0 with a intersectional victory at home. Quarterback Jesse Elkins led the way for Hollywood, completing seven of 15 passes for three touchdowns. Receiver Mo Camara caught touchdown passes of 59 and 46 yards and finished with four receptions for 115 yards. Pater Noster dropped to 0-4.

Bell 21, Jordan 0--Armando Lara rushed for 166 yards in 20 carries and scored one touchdown to lead the Eagles (1-1-1). Teammate Valente Marshall added 47 yards rushing in four carries and scored on touchdown runs of one and 26 yards. Of Bell’s 238 yards, 231 were on the ground. Jordan fell to 0-3.

Quartz Hill 26, San Gorgonio 7--San Gorgonio (1-2-1) was held to 153 yards of total offense as Quartz Hill (3-1) rebounded from last week’s loss to Hesperia. Running back Erik Thomas led the Rebels with 105 yards in 14 carries and two touchdowns. He returned a kickoff 76 yards for a third score.

Crespi 35, Bishop Montgomery 13--The Celts intercepted four passes and Cody Smith had his best game of the season, passing for 172 yards and four touchdowns at Torrance Bishop Montgomery in the Mission League opener for both teams.

After falling behind, 13-0, in the first period, Crespi (4-1) scored 35 unanswered points.
