Castaneda’s Status for Playoffs Up in Air

Sylvia Castaneda, a sophomore point guard for Valley College, has a sprained ankle and there is a 50-50 chance she will play in Saturday’s playoff game against Cerritos, Valley Coach Doug Michelson said.
X-rays taken Wednesday night at Valley Presbyterian Hospital after Castaneda injured her right ankle against Southwestern showed no break, Michelson said, adding that Castaneda is on crutches.
