ORANGE COUNTY ALL-STAR FOOTBALL GAME : Trammel Heads North Team Selections

Running back Ulysses Trammel of Rancho Alamitos High School, the county’s leading rusher and scorer during the regular season with 1,548 yards and 23 touchdowns, heads the list of selections for the North team that will participate in the 32nd Orange County All-Star football game July 12 in Orange Coast College’s LeBard Stadium.

Esperanza, which won the Southern Section Division III title last fall, had four players selected. Quarterback Keith McDonald and his favorite receiver, tight end Reid Pullen, were chosen along with running back Jarod Smith and tackle Chad Richter.

McDonald and John Collins of Los Alamitos are the team’s quarterbacks, and Katella’s Chris Reed is an alternate. Armanda Orizaba of Katella is the team’s kicker.

Split end Tyler Cashman of Los Alamitos said he would not play in the game and will be replaced by one of the alternates. Cashman has been selected to play in the Shrine All-Star game.

Jon Looney of Brea-Olinda and his staff will coach the team. Daily workouts begin June 24 at Brea-Olinda High. The roster and alternates:
