Share

Sophomore right-hander Joe Garcia of Palmdale High allowed three hits over six innings and the Falcons scored the winning run on a wild pitch in a 1-0 Golden League victory over Canyon on Friday at Palmdale.

Garcia (4-2), who struck out six and walked three, outdueled Canyon senior right-hander Erik Hiljus.

Hiljus allowed four hits, struck out eight and walked two--and it was a walk in the fifth inning that ultimately cost him the decision.
