Cypress’ Woods Shares Tournament Lead
Tiger Woods and Larry Alford shot 71s Wednesday to share the lead after two rounds of the Mission Hills Desert Junior Classic.
Woods of Cypress and Western High School and Alford of Houston are at one-under 143, three better than Jason Herbert, who shot his second consecutive 73 in the American Junior Golf Assn. event at Mission Hills Country Club.
Ben Garner of El Toro High shot a 69 to lead the boys’ 13-14 division by 10 strokes.
Kellee Booth of Coto de Caza and Santa Margarita High shot a 76 and is in sixth place at 156.
