Volleyball Club Wins Silver Medal
The Huntington Beach Volleyball Club’s 18-under boys’ team won a silver medal Saturday in the championship bracket at the U.S. Junior Olympics in Tampa, Fla.
Huntington Beach lost a one-game match, 15-9, to Outrigger of Hawaii for the championship. The team reached the final by beating Outrigger, 15-7, 17-15.
Matt Taylor, Dennis Winners and Greg Gratteau of Huntington Beach were named first-team All-Americans.
