Golden West Wins Water Polo Title
MERCEE —
The unbeaten Golden West water polo team improved to 8-0 Saturday while winning the Merced tournament with an 8-7 victory over Orange Coast.
Carlos Uchoa scored the game-winning goal with 21 seconds remaining.
Alfred Van Dorp scored three goals and Uchoa two in the championship game. Orange Coast is 13-2.
Earlier, Golden West defeated Diablo Valley, 11-7, to advance to the final, and Orange Coast defeated Cuesta, 9-6.
