Reseda 17, El Camino Real 7--Senior tailback Henry McAlpine rushed for 95 yards in 15 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead the Regents (2-3, 1-2) at Taft High.
El Camino Real running back Richard Gill scored from the two-yard line to cut Reseda’s lead to 10-7 in the fourth quarter. However, on El Camino Real’s next possession lineman Herbert Cosey took a handoff in the backfield and fumbled the ball on the Conquistadore 14.
On the next play, McAlpine scored his second touchdown with 4:30 left.
McAlpine scored on a nine-yard burst in the second quarter to give the Regents a 7-0 halftime lead.
Andy Hasson carried 14 times for 84 yards for El Camino Real (2-4, 0-3).
