Waddell to Be an All-Star Assistant

With Ft. Wayne defeating Peoria, 5-2, Tuesday night in the International Hockey League, the Gulls maintained their second-place standing. That earns Coach Don Waddell the assistant coach’s job for the West team in the Feb. 2 All-Star game in Atlanta.

Kevin Constantine of first-place Kansas City will be the head coach.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Robin Rabello, a Point Loma Nazarene College sophomore, was named an NAIA second team All-American.

Rabello, a 6-foot-0 graduate of Point Loma High, finished eighth in nation in kills per match (4.85). Twice she recorded 38 kills in a match, a school record.

Rabello is a three-sport athlete, also playing varsity basketball and softball at PLNC.
