1991 PREP FOOTBALL ALL--STARS : Dorsey Dominates Central City Team

After sweeping the City 4-A and 3-A Division championships, neighborhood rivals Dorsey and Crenshaw high schools combined to place 12 players on The Times Central City All-Star football team.

Dorsey, which defeated Wilmington Banning for the 4-A title, had seven players on the 23-member first team. Led by lineman Cedric White, a three-time selection, and tailback Sharmon Shah, the Dons had the most players from any school.

Crenshaw, which won its first football title when it defeated Chatsworth for the 3-A championship, had five first-team players, headed by linebacker Kaleon Green and defensive back Demetrius Henderson.

Los Angeles Loyola, which reached the semifinals of the Southern Section Division I playoffs, also placed five players on the team, headed by punter John Stonehouse, three-time selection.

Players named to the first team, along with their parents and coaches, will be guests of The Times at a football awards breakfast at 9 a.m. Sunday at the Les Freres Taix on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. Winners of the Central City back-, coach- and lineman-of-the-year awards will be announced at the breakfast.
