Services will be held Saturday for former Oak Park High girls’ soccer Coach Bill Hoffman, who died Monday of colon and liver cancer at 67.

Hoffman coached Oak Park from 1987-91 and previously was an assistant for six seasons.

“I found Bill to be one of the most helpful coaches I’ve ever known,” Oak Park Athletic Director Fred Yamano said. “He was supportive of all of our programs, not just soccer. If there was something to be done, he was always there to do it.”

Hoffman, who had lived in Agoura Hills for 25 years, also coached youth soccer and track.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Oaks at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Mortuary in Agoura Hills.
