Lowery’s 25 Help Loyola Beat St. Mary’s

MORAGA, Calif. — Terrell Lowery scored 25 points to lead Loyola Marymount to an 81-76 victory over St. Mary’s Saturday night in a West Coast Conference game.
Loyola (10-9, 3-4) trailed at halftime, 34-31. St. Mary’s is 11-11, 2-5.
Rahim Harris added 10 points and Tony Walker and Brian McCloskey each had 10.
McCloskey and center Christian Scott each had eight rebounds, although the Lions were outrebounded, 40-38.
Loyola shot only 44.4% (28 of 63) to St. Mary’s 49.2% (33 of 67). But the Lions made 21 of 26 free throws; the Gaels nine of 15.
Thurman Watson led the Gaels with 23 points. John Levitt, who had 17 points Friday night in a 76-64 loss to Pepperdine, had only seven points.
