Kennedy 72, Norwalk 47--Jermaine Galloway had 21 points and 18 rebounds for the host Fighting Irish (20-6).

Buena Park 60, Charter Oak 48--Angel Barrios scored 20 points, 10 in each half, and had 12 rebounds for host Buena Park (20-5), the Freeway League champion.

Bryan Baylor (10 points) made a pair of three-pointers as Buena Park outscored Charter Oak, 19-12, in the third quarter to take a 36-29 lead. The Coyotes will play Valencia in Tuesday’s second round.

Valencia 63, Norwalk Glenn 53--Adolfo Gomez scored 18 points and Marc O’Brien added 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Valencia (14-9) at home. Mario Baca had 16 points for Glenn (14-10).

Elsinore 62, Fullerton 60--Elsinore’s David Lipold made a three-point shot with nine seconds left for the victory. Elsinore trailed, 43-34, going into the fourth quarter but outscored Fullerton, 28-17, in the quarter. Chad Murray had 21 points to lead Fullerton (7-18).
