In other Freeway League games:

Buena Park 3, Sonora 0--Junior Alfredo Garcia pitched a two-hitter and Juvenal Jaime drove in two runs with a fourth-inning single for the visiting Coyotes (8-8, 5-4).

Fullerton 5, La Habra 0--Jerry Martinez struck out five, walked one and allowed only four hits for visiting Fullerton (13-6, 8-2).

In the Angelus League:

Mater Dei 5, Loyola 4--Billy Blanton had a two-run double and Dave Augustus a two-run single during a four-run third inning for the host Monarchs (18-2, 9-1). Loyola loaded the bases with one out in the seventh and Dustin Ingle had a 3-0 count against Andy Castro, but Castro struck out Ingle and Chet Fredrick, after falling behind 3-1, to pick up his second save.

In the Empire League:

Cypress 3, Esperanza 1--Garrett Vitale and Ken Fann hit home runs in support of Micah Stovall’s four-hitter for the visiting Centurions. Fann also drove in a run with a double. Esperanza fell to 8-10, 3-6.

El Dorado 17, Loara 9 (9 innings)--John Selway hit a bases-loaded triple and Jeff Street had a three-run homer during an eight-run ninth inning for the visiting Hawks (15-5, 8-2). Aaron France drove in four runs for Loara (7-13, 2-8).

In the Garden Grove League:

Garden Grove 8, La Quinta 3--Jay Moore hit two home runs and had three RBIs for host Garden Grove (11-6, 7-2), which scored at least one run in every inning except the sixth.

Kennedy 5, Pacifica 4--Scott Jones had six strikeouts and allowed three hits through five innings for the Fighting Irish (15-6, 7-2). Chito Jara went two for four, driving in two runs and scoring once. Pacifica is 5-4 in league.

Santiago 9, Los Amigos 1--Enele Scanlan went four for four with an RBI and teammate David Sarno went three for three with three RBIs as the Cavaliers held Los Amigos to two hits. Santiago is 11-9, 5-4; Los Amigos is 2-7 in league.

In the Orange League:

Brea-Olinda 10, Anaheim 7--Matt Selinske was two for four and drove in four runs for the host Wildcats (14-5-1, 9-1). Jason Luevanos was three for four with an RBI for Brea-Olinda.

In the Sea View League:

Tustin 2, Saddleback 0--Nick Cantu drove in the winning run with a base hit in the third inning for the visiting Tillers (13-7, 9-1), who moved into first place alone. Saddleback is in second at 15-5, 8-2.

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 2, San Clemente 0--Scott Shone squeezed in Brian Epp and the host Cougars (17-3, 9-1) scored again later in the fifth inning when Mark Greyschock was called for catcher’s interference with the bases loaded. Ethan Wyckoff (5-1) limited the Tritons to three hits, striking out six.

Mission Viejo 7, Dana Hills 6--Jeff Carr drove in the go-ahead run with a sixth-inning single for the visiting Diablos (3-7 in league). Carr had three hits, including a two-run homer in the fifth, and three RBIs. Tim Wolter had three hits and drove in two runs for Dana Hills (10-11, 5-5).

El Toro 10, Irvine 2--Chris Wiggins and Francisco Meza each drove in three runs for the Chargers (8-10, 5-5).
