In other Division 3-A games:

El Monte 5, Corona del Mar 4--The visiting Sea Kings (14-11) rallied for two runs in the seventh but stranded the tying run at third.

Mike Susson had an RBI triple and scored on a single by C.W. Ramsay with one out to cut the lead to 5-4. Dave Angeloni had an infield hit, but the next two batters grounded out to end the game. El Monte is 14-11.

Corona 7, Trabuco Hills 0--The visiting Panthers advance to the second round to play El Monte. Trabuco Hills finishes 15-10.

Garden Grove 11, Santa Fe 3--Jim Sebreros had three hits, drove in four runs and stole home for the visiting Argonauts (15-8), who play Apple Valley on Tuesday. Brandon Hoalton (6-3) pitched a five-hitter, striking out seven, and homered. Shawn Black and Steve Hoalton each had three hits and Bryce McHale added a homer.

Norwalk 4, Saddleback 2--Brad Baker pitched a seven-hitter and hit a home run for the visiting Lancers (14-7). Erasmo Ramirez and Juan Maldonado drove in Saddleback’s runs with seventh-inning singles. Luis Estrella was two for three and scored a run for the Roadrunners (19-7).

La Mirada 8, Estancia 7 (9)--The host Matadores (19-6) advanced to the second round and will play La Canada St. Francis, Tuesday. Estancia finished at 12-14.
