Whittier Christian Stifles Hollywood in 56-0 Blowout

In an impressive display of offense and defense, the Whittier Christian Heralds smashed Hollywood High, 56-0, before a crowd of 2,000 at Whittier College.

The Heralds’ defense was ferocious, holding Hollywood High to 14 yards passing and three yards rushing.

The Heralds’ first touchdown came on the third play of the second quarter. Mac Myer scooted 48 yards as Whittier Christian took a 7-0 lead.

It took the Heralds one play to go 48 yards on their next possession with fullback Aaron Meschuk running 48 yards for the touchdown for a 13-0 lead.

Before the half was over, Whittier Christian struck two more times. Myer had a 16-yard touchdown run and Chad Callahan connected on a 44-yard pass play to tight end John Mikucki to put the Heralds up 28-0 the clock ran out at the half.

In the third quarter, the Heralds stretched their lead to 35-0 as Callahan hit Hadden for a 44-yard touchdown pass.

The Heralds added another 21 points in the fourth quarter, making the final score 56-0.
