Chaminade 28, St. Bernard 17--Chaminade (4-2, 1-0) running back Franklin Saunders returned a kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown with 7:54 remaining after host St. Bernard had closed to within 21-17.
Chaminade’s Ryan Graves completed 15 of 28 for 192 yards, including a 42-yard scoring pass to Justin Giovannettone.
Giovannettone caught four passes for 64 yards and rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown in 21 carries. The Eagles rolled up 335 yards in total offense.
