Chula Vista scored a 16-0 Metro Conference victory over Bonita Vista at Southwestern College in a football game that was delayed by one day because of a fatal shooting.

The game had been scheduled for Friday night at Bonita Vista, but was postponed until Saturday afternoon after Thursday night’s shooting death of Henry Laguit, 17, a Bonita Vista 12th grader.

The game was played in front of about 2,000, half of the expected crowd from a Friday night game. Chula Vista (3-1-1, 3-0) is the only unbeaten Metro team. Bonita Vista is 4-2, 2-1.
