Corona del Mar tennis--It was incorrectly reported in Wednesday’s Times that Megan Wachtler and Heather Nelson of Corona del Mar lost their final doubles match Tuesday, resulting in a tie with Newport Harbor in girls’ tennis. Wachtler and Nelson swept three matches.

In the Sunset League:

Edison 3, Marina 0--Natasha Zila had 38 assists to lead visiting Edison to a 15-7, 15-12, 15-10 sweep. Alicia Liniger added 20 kills for Edison (12-1, 10-1).

Westminster 3, Santa Ana 2--Lisa Tamamasui had 20 kills and Crissy Schenck added 12 for visiting Westminster (7-6, 5-6), which won, 13-15, 15-6, 15-11, 7-15, 17-15. Cynthia Trotter had 21 kills for Santa Ana.

Huntington Beach 3, Fountain Valley 1--Deana Itow had 22 kills for Huntington Beach (9-4, 9-2), which won, 15-12, 7-15, 15-5, 15-13. Lisa Brown had 18 kills for Fountain Valley (8-5, 8-3).

In Century League girls’ tennis:

El Modena 13, Canyon 5--Brandi Freudenberg swept at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for host El Modena (11-4, 8-1). The Vanguards clinched at least a tie for the league title, the first in school history.

In the Freeway League:

La Habra 9, Buena Park 9 (La Habra wins in games, 80-72)--Kelly Coats and Staci Murguia swept, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2, for La Habra (8-8, 3-5). Buena Park is 1-7 in league.

In the Olympic League:

Connelly 10, Orange Lutheran 8--Ann Mah and Camille Pinero improved their doubles record to 34-2 for the season by winning their sets, 6-0, 6-1, 6-0, for Connelly (7-5, 4-2) at the Anaheim Tennis Center.

In the Sea View League:

Newport Harbor 9, Corona del Mar 9 (Newport Harbor wins on games, 75-69)--Newport Harbor’s Genevieve Evarts and Katie Hawkins defeated Megan Wachtler and Heather Nelson, 6-4, in the final set to tie the match, 9-9, and give the Sailors (9-3 in league) the victory. Mara Colaizzi swept at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-0, 6-0, for host Newport Harbor (9-3 in league). Corona del Mar is 13-3, 10-2.

In the Sunset League:

Fountain Valley 9, Huntington Beach 9 (Fountain Valley wins on games, 75-73)--Fountain Valley won eight of nine singles sets, which made up for losing eight of nine doubles sets. Nina Basica, Nora Kapche each swept in singles and Anh Dang won two of three sets for the Barons (10-8, 8-4).

In nonleague water polo:

Long Beach Wilson 8, Foothill 7--Ben Blaber scored his fourth goal of the match with just two seconds remaining for visiting Long Beach Wilson, ranked fourth in Division I. No. 8 Foothill (11-8) led, 7-6, with three minutes left, but Greg Krino’s goal tied the score.

In the Sea View League:

Tustin 10, Woodbrige 9--Tony Lewis scored his third goal with six seconds remaining to give Tustin (9-10, 4-2) the victory.
