A world record for playing the fastest 18 holes of golf was set Monday by a group of 37 golfers at John E. Clark Golf Course at Pt. Mugu Naval Base.

The team played the round in 9 minutes 38 seconds, breaking the mark of 9:51 held by a group of South African professionals.

Players were positioned at various points at each hole, taking a shot as soon as the ball stopped rolling. The round was witnessed by a representative of the Guinness Book of World Records.
