Capistrano Valley Christian continued its march to a second consecutive State championship by steamrollering Calvary Chapel, 15-4, 15-5, 15-1, in a Southern California Regional Division V girls’ volleyball final Tuesday at St. Margaret’s High School.

Capistrano Valley Christian (21-0), which extended its winning streak to 25 matches over two seasons, advanced to Saturday’s 9 a.m. State final at Cal State Fullerton to play San Jose Sacred Heart.

“This was magic tonight,” Capistrano Valley Christian Coach Dave Barkley said. “We sided out when we had to, dug balls when we had to. . . . All the girls were really fired up.”
