GIRLS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Brea-Olinda Wins in Second Round at Santa Barbara
Nicole Erickson scored 18 points as Brea-Olinda, the top-ranked team in Orange County, beat Long Beach Millikan, 65-46, Monday in the second round of the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions.
Sarah Beckley added 14 for Brea (10-0). Long Beach Millikan is 6-2.
In the La Puente tournament:
El Dorado 47, Los Altos 19--Jamie Sweet and Shanna Renken scored 16 and 13 points, respectively, for El Dorado (9-0). Teammate Nicole Debruijn had 10 points and 13 rebounds. Los Altos is 6-5.
In nonleague games:
Sunny Hills 52, El Modena 30--Marla Roque scored 18 points to lead Sunny Hills over El Modena (0-6), which got 19 points from Jamie Shine.
La Quinta 49, Sonora 35--Linda Rodriguez scored 21 points and Ronnie Gondringer added 15 for La Quinta (6-1). Chris Nonis scored 11 points for Sonora (4-3).
