Big Bear Area Rattled by Aftershock

A 3.5-magnitude temblor hit the Big Bear area late Sunday afternoon, part of the series of aftershocks from the June 28 earthquakes in the Landers and Big Bear areas.

The aftershock, which came at 4:32 p.m., was located nine miles northeast of Big Bear Lake, according to seismologist Robbie Robb at Caltech.

Last Wednesday, an aftershock measuring 3.1 was recorded 10 miles north of Yucca Valley.
