Designed to honor schools for outstanding sportsmanlike conduct during the 1992-93 school year, the 11th “Shake for Sportsmanship” awards will be presented at Dodger Stadium before the Dodger-Cincinnati Red game on May 19.

The honored schools were selected by a vote of their peers--members of their respective leagues--using their criteria. Guidelines from the CIF Office include participation, enthusiasm, behavior at games, treatment of opponents and contest officials. This is to include the actions of competitors, school band members, drill teams, pep squads, cheerleaders and student-rooting sections.

The winning schools and their leagues: Liberty Christian (Academy), Foothill (Century), Cypress (Empire), Bethel Baptist (Express), La Habra (Freeway), Rancho Alamitos (Garden Grove), Brethren Christian (Olympic), Anaheim (Orange), Century (Pacific Coast), Woodbridge (Sea View), Dana Hills (South Coast), Connelly (Sunrise) and Edison (Sunset).
