* Today’s games (At Mayfair Park, Lakewood): Division II--Charter Oak (28-0-1) vs. Bishop Amat (24-6-1), 7:30 p.m.; Division III--Irvine (26-5) vs. Laguna Hills (23-5), 5 p.m.; Division V--Murrieta Valley (21-3) vs. Crossroads (25-6), 2:30 p.m.; Division VI--Templeton (23-3) vs. Linfield (22-2), noon.

* Last year’s champions: 4-A--Foothill; 3-A--Woodbridge; 1-A--La Reina; SS--Crossroads.

* Outlook: Top-seeded Charter Oak is led by senior pitcher Christy Tucker (27-0), whose appearance at Mayfair Park will be both an ending and a beginning. Tucker will play for Cal State Long Beach next season, and this is the 49ers’ home field. Charter Oak and Bishop Amat played to a 2-2 tie in 12 innings on March 24. The Chargers won the 1-A title in 1979 and the 4-A title in 1990. Bishop Amat is making its first appearance in a final. In the Division III final, Irvine is led by Alleah Poulson, a senior first baseman. Poulson, most valuable player of the Sea View League, is hitting .426. She will play for UCLA next season. Laguna Hills is led by Misty Thompson, who has nine RBIs in four playoff games. Irvine won the 4-A title in 1991. Crossroads won the 1992 Small Schools Division title. The Roadrunners are led by third baseman Jennifer Abramson (.551), the 1992 Small Schools player of the year.
