OUTLOOK Start with one of the best players in the county, Gonzalez, add four more all-league performers and Huntington Beach has the nucleus for a team that should be among the county’s finest. Gonzalez, a first-team all-county selection last season, is one of the most highly touted players in the country. He has the potential to be a top college tight end. Escobedo, Yadrick and Flagg give the Oilers speed, experience and depth in the backfield, and Friend, Clarke and Ziegler also return to anchor the Oilers’ line. Schuck will try to fill the void at quarterback left by Jon Wimbish, but the Oilers are still the favorite to win the league title.
