Mammoth opened the scoring early in the second quarter on Ernesto Bravo’s one-yard run, which capped a 43-yard, 12-play drive. Bravo kicked the extra point to give Mammoth a 7-0 lead.

The Huskies scored the next time they had the ball on a four-yard pass to Thompson. The extra point was blocked.

Mammoth’s final score came in the third period after a punt by Southern California Christian went minus 11 yards and was downed on the Flames’ one-yard line. On the third play from scrimmage, Tomasch connected with Thompson for the final touchdown. A pass attempt for the extra point failed.

Ron Wood was the Flames’ leading offensive performer, rushing for 35 yards in seven carries.
