Colon will rely on several newcomers to replace at least three starters. Colon isn’t sure yet if Granzow, the starting quarterback for the football team, will play basketball. If he doesn’t return, the Contenders will miss his 9.7 rebounds a game. Hoggats (19.3 points, 8.8 rebounds) is the returning starter at shooting guard and may play at forward. Among the newcomers, Gales and Lucas might start.

Even with Lopez in the middle, Campbell Hall will be even stronger on the perimeter, where Sylvester and Woodall return as starters. Pearson averaged 13.5 points and 7.4 rebounds in 11 games. The Vikings are the favorite for the league title. Last season, Campbell Hall forfeited eight victories and a playoff berth for using an ineligible player.
