Loyola Leads Early but Loses Again
Chris McKinney scored a season-high 30 points as Oral Roberts University defeated Loyola Marymount, 83-69, Monday night.
The victory gave ORU (6-6) one more victory than it achieved last season in its 5-22 campaign. Loyola Marymount, which ended a nine-game losing streak last weekend with a victory over Buffalo, dropped to 1-10.
The Lions received 28 points from center Wyking Jones and 14 from Bill Mazurie.
Oral Roberts overcame a 37-36 halftime deficit with a 14-4 run early in the second half.
