Santa Margarita Routs Newport Harbor

The Santa Margarita boys’ basketball team beat Newport Harbor handily, 80-43, Wednesday, again showing the unpredictability of the Sea View League.

“The only thing I can say, is that I don’t know what to say,” Santa Margarita Coach Jerry DeBusk said. “Last night we had to practice off campus and we had one of our worst practices, but then we come out and play like this.”

Newport Harbor (9-7, 2-2), coming off a big victory over Tustin Monday, was hampered by inconsistent shooting and 23 turnovers.
