VALLEY-AREA BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Henry Leads Valley College to 102-94 Win Over Glendale

Valley College freshman Kenneth Henry scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Monarchs to a 102-94 victory over Glendale in a Western State Conference game played Monday at Notre Dame High.

Eric Grayson added 20 points and 15 rebounds and Darius Moses tallied 16 points and 16 rebounds for Valley (9-12, 3-3 in conference play, 1-0 in Southern Division play).

WOMEN

Valley 81, Glendale 65--Monarch guard Vonya Dangerfield had 19 points and 12 rebounds in a Western State Conference game at Valley (4-3 in conference play, 1-0 in the Southern Division). Monarch forward Nicole Baines added 17 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.

Ventura 75, Moorpark 59--Julie Hardy scored 21 points to lead the Pirates in a Western State Conference Northern Division game at Ventura High. Camisca Hawkins added 16 points, 11 rebounds and seven steals for Ventura (17-4, 7-0, 1-0).
