Open House to Honor Former Coach Ambrose

An open house to honor former Pacifica and Los Amigos high school Coach Wayne Ambrose will be from 2 to 4 p.m. April 10 at the New Community Church in Irvine.
Ambrose, who has cancer, retired from teaching in 1988. He coached football and track and field in the Garden Grove Unified School District for 33 years.
Friends and former players are invited to attend. Donations to help cover Ambrose’s medical costs will be accepted that evening or can be sent to: 12791 Brittany Woods Dr., Santa Ana, Calif. 92705.
