OUTLOOK

Trabuco Hills won the Division VIII title last season and now finds itself playing in a Division I league. Tough break. The Mustangs probably don’t have what it takes to challenge for the league championship this season, but they should be in the running for a playoff spot. Collins threw for 903 yards and seven touchdowns during the regular season, but at the moment Pintsak is the starter. “The one thing I will say is we have the best two quarterbacks in the (Orange) County,” Barnett said. “Our two are better than any other two at any school.” From there, it gets a little thin. Fobbs is a dangerous receiver. He caught 22 passes during the regular season a year ago. Jacobs can open some holes, but who will run through them is the question. Harper, Haynes and Johnson are in contention. Taylor is the team’s best defensive player. Carter is good enough that he would have been on the varsity last season if he had been old enough.
