OUTLOOK
The Eagles move to the Academy League this season, which is unfortunate for the rest of the league. Although seven seniors graduated from last year’s team, Shelton feels he has great athletes in the wings and should be able to win the league championship. The Eagles’ biggest loss was forward Andrea Shaffner, who averaged 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the team. They will also miss Lindsey Etheridge, who was fourth in the county in assists, averaging nearly six. Bradberry averaged 10 points last season and will need to grab some rebounds to make up for Shaffner’s loss. Olivier will join the team after sitting out last season because of a ruptured Achilles’ tendon she received playing volleyball. Crary will play off-guard and is the Eagles’ main outside scoring threat. Shelton plays an inside game, but would love to multiply his options by getting some long-distance production.
