Armand Boglin: Fullerton, Sophomore Football/Defensive back
Boglin, from Pomona High, had a solid regular season for the Hornets but didn’t get the one thing defensive backs dream of--an interception. But he changed that Saturday when he intercepted two passes as Fullerton beat Hancock, 38-33, in the K-Swiss Bowl. He returned one interception 18 yards for touchdown that put Fullerton ahead, 31-21, in the third quarter. Boglin, who was the K-Swiss Bowl defensive player of the game, finished the season with 26 solo tackles and also was in on two sacks.

Foltz ended her sophomore season the same way she ended her freshman season--with her best performance of the year. Foltz, from Foothill High, had 75 kills in four matches as Golden West won its second consecutive State title Sunday with a three-game sweep of Cerritos. Foltz had 17 kills in the championship match.
