In the Bolsa Grande Classic:

Santa Ana 68, Laguna Beach 35--Letty Gil scored 18 points and had 10 assists and Tanzenika Holmes added 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead Santa Ana (5-2).

Capistrano Valley 57, Magnolia 37--Mary Tuazon and Andrea Picchi each had 14 points to lead Capistrano Valley (6-0). Jennifer Garrett had 30 points and 17 rebounds for Magnolia.

In the Cypress tournament:

Kennedy 65, Katella 46--Though Katella stayed close to Kennedy up until the start of the third quarter, the Irish, led by Karin Kitagawa and Erryn Gutjahr with 13 points each, pulled ahead and win in the consolation game.

In the Estancia Classic:

Marina 69, Diamond Bar 51--Shandy Robbins had 30 points and 19 rebounds and Norie Nakase added nine points to lead Marina (7-0) into tonight’s championship game against Estancia.

Estancia 65, Saddleback 32--Jessica Waltz had 18 points and Carla Dominguez had 16 for Estancia (6-1). Nicole Wiora had 14 points for Saddleback (4-5).

Irvine 43, Corona del Mar 38--Jenna Bodholdt had 19 points, 17 rebounds and five steals and Melinda Newe had 12 points as Irvine (5-2) outscored Corona del Mar, 21-8, in the fourth quarter of a consolation game.

In pool play of the La Quinta Lady Aztec Classic:

Ocean View 53, Foothill 29--Jennifer Tuiolosega scored 27 points and Becky Fraser added 19 points and 11 rebounds for Ocean View (4-4), which did not score in the fourth quarter.

Dana Hills 51, La Quinta 21--Sara Herkenoff had 14 points and nine rebounds and Jennifer Hass added 13 points to lead Dana Hills (2-5). Thuy Dao scored eight points to lead La Quinta (0-5).

Esperanza 53, Troy 34--Lindsay Brown led No. 9 Esperanza (7-1) with 12 points. Dinah Shah matched Brown’s 12 points in the losing effort for No. 10 Troy (5-3), which played its second consecutive game without 6-3 center Jennie Gadd, out with a sprained ankle.

Esperanza led at halftime, 19-15, but the Aztecs outscored Troy, 20-5, in the third quarter.

In nonleague:

Savanna 48, Connelly 38--Amy Klingelsmith scored 12 points and Shauna Miller added nine for host Savanna (2-7).
