Nikki Hart

El Dorado, Senior

Softball/Second base

Last November, Hart signed a letter of intent to attend Oregon State and but early this season she was struggling. After batting .467 last season, she was putting too much pressure on herself, El Dorado Coach Chris Schaner said. “She’s been pushing herself too hard,” Schaner said. “Now she’s finally starting to relax and go out there with a smile, and she’s getting back to where she’s been.” Hart certainly had a breakout day Tuesday. She hit four home runs in two games, a 10-4 victory over Esperanza and a 5-4 loss to Corona Centennial in the Canyon tournament. During the tournament, Hart had five home runs and eight runs batted in and was named the co-most valuable offensive player.
