SEASON AT A GLANCE: Fishman’s luck has steadily improved as the season has progressed. The right-hander has thrown six consecutive complete games and has given up a run in one of his last 16 innings.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Fishman threw a one-hitter in sixth-seeded El Camino Real’s 3-0 victory over Venice in the first round of the City Section 4-A playoffs. In a quarterfinal game against third-seeded Poly, Fishman entered the game in the seventh inning with the tying run on base and earned his third save of the season. “His stats don’t always show what he can do,” El Camino Real Coach Mike Maio said.
