Fullerton’s Horton Withdraws From LSU Coaching Search

Cal State Fullerton associate head baseball coach George Horton has withdrawn from consideration for a similar position at Louisiana State.

“It was pretty much a mutual agreement for them to look elsewhere,” Horton said Tuesday. “They weren’t able to do the things that I would have needed for me to be really interested.”

LSU Coach Skip Bertman is seeking an associate who can move into the head coaching position when he retires.

Titan junior Joe Fraser has signed with the Minnesota Twins.

Fraser, the regular second baseman on the national championship team, was assigned to Elizabethton, Tenn., the Twins’ Class-A rookie team in Appalachian League.
