Lodi Advances to State Title Game

Lodi exploded for 17 hits, including seven for extra bases, to eliminate Camarillo, 12-5, Monday, and advance to the American Legion state baseball championship game in Yountville, Calif.
Darin Moore and Daron Wright each had a two-run double during a six-run fourth inning rally for Lodi (29-5).
Lodi added four runs in the fifth with a three-run home run by Jeremy Watson to take a 11-3 lead.
Earlier Monday, Camarillo (35-7) lost to San Juan Capistrano, 5-1, to drop to the losers bracket of the double elimination tournament.
Nathan Kaup (1-1) of Camarillo retired the first 13 batters before giving up home runs to Pat Versluis and Rick Currier.
