OUTLOOK
The Roadrunners prospered in the league’s inaugural season after a disastrous final season in the Sea View League. Saddleback was 2-8, 1-7 in league play in 1993, but improved to 4-7, 3-2 in 1994. Saddleback tied Westminster for second place and qualified for the Southern Section Division V playoffs, losing to eventual champion Newport Harbor, 28-14, in the first round. Rodriguez was a major factor, rushing for 438 yards and seven touchdowns in four games after taking over the starting signal-calling job. Amador, Hernandez and Reyes are leaders.
