Taking over as Esperanza’s quarterback this season is David Parrish, a junior with a familiar surname. He’s the son of Toronto Blue Jay catcher Lance Parrish, who also played for the Angels during a 16-year career. In his first start Friday, David completed 17 of 28 passes for 321 yards and a touchdown to lead the Aztecs over Indio, 32-0.
