La Canada 30, Burroughs 21--Sam Paneno rushed 325 yards in 27 carries and three touchdowns to lead the Spartans (2-1) at Burroughs High.
After Burroughs opened the scoring on a 75-yard touchdown pass from J.K. Scott to Glenn Adriatico, Paneno capped a seven play 80 yard drive with a 35 yard touchdown run to tie the score at seven.
Scott finished with 18 of 29 for 294 yards and three touchdowns, but was also intercepted three times.
Adriatico finished with 12 catches 214 yards and two touchdowns.
The Indians (2-1) were shut out in the second half as Paneno put La Canada ahead for good with a nine-yard touchdown late in the third quarter.
