CITY SECTION ROUNDUP : Sylmar Hits on All Cylinders in 42-7 Romp Over El Camino Real

Durell Price rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown in 12 carries and second-ranked Sylmar High remained undefeated by downing El Camino Real, 42-7, Friday night in a nonleague game at Taft High.

The Spartans’ passing attack also clicked in, scoring four times--twice in each half.

A.J. Coney completed six of eight passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Cervantes completed three of five passes for 34 yards and two touchdowns.

Gerrod Taylor caught four passes for 71 yards and had a touchdown reception from each quarterback. Taylor also rushed for 69 yards in seven carries for the Spartans (3-0).

Quincy Wright returned a second-quarter kickoff 85 yards to put El Camino Real (0-2-1) on the scoreboard.
