NAME: JAMI BARI

POSITION: Outside Hitter

SCHOOL/YEAR: Dana Hills, So.

Bari averaged 23 kills and had a school-record 48 against Mater Dei on Oct. 3 and 41 against the Monarchs on Oct. 19. She helped the Dolphins finish in a three-way tie for first in the South Coast League.

POSITION: Outside hitter

SCHOOL/YEAR: Mater Dei, Sr.

The South Coast League’s MVP, Gehlke helped lead the Monarchs to the Southern Section Division I semifinals. She was a skillful and inspirational leader. She has orally committed to UC Santa Barbara.

POSITION: Setter

SCHOOL/YEAR: Newport Harbor, Sr.

Hecker, the Sea View League’s MVP, led the Sailors to a league co-championship and past top-seeded Huntington Beach in the section Division I quarterfinals. She has orally committed to Loyola Marymount.

NAME: AMY NIHIPALI

POSITION: Middle blocker

SCHOOL/YEAR: Esperanza, Jr.

Nihipali’s height (6-2) and experience helped the Aztecs reach the playoffs. She was one of 18 girls selected to participate in tryouts this summer for the youth national team. She has orally committed to UCLA.

NAME: JENNY ROBERTS

POSITION: Middle blocker

SCHOOL/YEAR: Calvary Chapel, Sr.

Roberts, the Olympic League’s MVP, helped lead the Eagles to their second consecutive Division IV state championship. She was selected MVP of the state final and has orally committed to Hawaii.

The Sunset League’s MVP is a powerful hitter who took the Oiler program to new heights during her career. Wendt, a four-time Southern Section first-team selection, has orally committed to UCLA.
