Hol Wins Junior Tennis Event

Joost Hol, a sophomore at Foothill High, defeated Duke Nguyen of San Francisco, 6-4, 6-0, in the boys’ 16s final of the Fiesta Bowl National Junior Tennis Tournament Sunday in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Hol, seeded eighth, beat top-seeded Jose Lieberman of Los Angeles, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, in the semifinals Saturday. Hol won the boys’ 14s title two years ago.
